Immigration & Travel Advisory
Plan early so your travel documents are ready in time. Here you'll find the entry rules for the Philippines, your government's official travel advice, and official immigration and visa links for 185 countries and destinations.
Coming to the Philippines
Your checklist for a smooth arrival at Mactan-Cebu, Manila or any Philippine airport.
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your arrival date, with a free page for the entry stamp.
Citizens of many countries enter visa-free for up to 30 days. Check the official DFA list for your nationality; longer stays can be extended at the Bureau of Immigration.
Register free on the official eTravel site within 72 hours before arrival (and before departure) and keep the QR code on your phone. Avoid look-alike sites that charge a fee.
Immigration officers may ask to see a confirmed return or onward flight and your hotel or tour booking.
Declare cash over ₱50,000 or foreign currency over US$10,000 (or its equivalent) on arrival.
Bring your passport (or a copy and valid ID) on domestic flights and ferries, e.g. Cebu to Bohol, Palawan or Siargao.
Official travel advisories
Your own government's travel advice covers safety, health, local laws and emergency contacts. Check it before you book and again a few days before you fly.
