   Mactan Shrine, also known as Liberty Shrine, is a memorial park on the island of Mactan in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu, Philippines. It hosts two monuments, namely the Magellan Monument, which is dedicated to Portuguese explorer Ferdinand Magellan and the Lapu Lapu Monument, a bronze statue which commemorates Lapu Lapu, a native leader who defeated Spanish soldiers led by Magellan in the 1521 Battle of Mactan.

   Visit to Lapu-Lapu’s Monument & Magellan’s Marker where the battle between Magellan & Chieftain Lapu-Lapu happened. Also visit the Guitar Factories, where you can see how guitars are made. The Virgin De La Regla Parish Church. And to highlight the tour, visit the Mactan Island New Town business complex.

   Visit the group of small islands along the Mactan Channel with a motored pumpboat (“banca”). The shallow waters within the sanctuary are excellent for snorkeling adventures. A wide variety of corals (hard and soft), reef fish and invertebrates are easily visible to a snorkeler in 2 to 3 meters of water.

   Looking for the perfect beach? Pandanon Island is the place to go. White sand and warm turquoise water await the visitor for a day of fun in the sun. The beach at Pandanon Island is perfect for all kinds of beach activities.

   Note: Drinks are not included, please ask your guide to drop by a convenience store if you want to buy and bring to the island.

Price per person

The more you are, the less each person pays. Prices in Philippine Peso, including tax and service charges.

• Based on double or triple room sharing with daily breakfast. Single room on request.
• A 25% peak season surcharge applies from December 20 to January 5, during Chinese New Year and Holy Week.
• Prices are subject to availability until your booking is confirmed. Nothing is reserved yet.

Booking terms

• 50% deposit to reserve the hotels and domestic flights, at least 3 months before your travel date; 50% balance 3 weeks before travel.
• Deposits are non-refundable. Full cancellation charge for cancellations within 30 days of travel.
• Date changes depend on hotel and flight availability, with rebooking charges.
• No refund for unused flights, rooms, meals, tours and transfers, or for cancellations beyond our control (typhoons, earthquakes, flight or ferry cancellations, medical reasons).
• Itineraries may change due to local circumstances. A booking confirmation is issued after the deposit; e-tickets and hotel vouchers 1 to 2 weeks later.
